I know you say this a lot, but it is really noticeable just how many anti-Trump conservatives there are in the US compared to anti-Farage ones in the UK.
All this Trump whispering reminds me of Einstein’s definition of insanity. A very interesting interview: five stars, Nick. I also commend the Disorder Podcast and the irrepressible Jason Pack.
I hadn't listened to Charlie Sykes before. As someone else here has pointed out, there are still old-school Republicans about who are horrified by Trump, while in Britain the lurch to the right has produced a straight-line Front, in which you're either for Farage and the emergence of English ICE units or you're a piece of low-life, Leftist scum.
Is there any leading politician from any party who is prepared to stand up and face down Farage and Trump? You’d think our current Foreign Secretary would be alarmed at the prospect of a white supremacist POTUS but not a peep.
'We talked about the naivety of Keir Starmer...'. That's like Sunday morning footballers thinking they could teach Arsenal a thing or two! And your point is what? We need a better PM or a different sort of Party? It's too late for that, you should have started 40 years ago. And if you were serious about changing the world for the better rather than gaining cudos among fellow leftists that is what you should have done. The Prime Minister is not like a man in a signal box, capable of switching the points of history. Trotskyist reference there for you!
Like Brexit, not talking honestly about Trump, is a subject that neither Labour nor Tory want to raise.
Thatcher's belief in democracy and the rule of law would be a bit leftist in the current iteration of the Tory Party

It's scandalous

Cheers Mark will check them out
Key takeaway is those that might follow Trump are far more dangerous (Miller and Vance are nutcases), though don't have the (rather warped) charisma
Vance is terrifying
